Exhibition November 26, 2020 − February 13, 2021
Mikhail Shemyakin Center, St. Petersburg hosts an exhibition "Principle of metasynthesis".

The exposition, which occupies two floors of the exhibition space, presents: the work of Mikhail Shemyakin "Metaphysical head" from the project "Imaginary Museum"; 32 original works by the Moscow artist Pyotr Pushkarev, combining the traditions of the Old Russian icon and the Russian avant-garde; the best works of students for all six years of study and also large-scale diploma projects-installations on the theme of the transformation of the Russian icon.

Mikhail Shemyakin is known to us as an artist, sculptor, author of costumes and scenery for theatrical performances. Over the past six years, teaching has also appeared on this extensive list. In 2014, the artist recruits students at the Voronezh Academy of Arts and, subsequently, transfers them to the St.Petersburg Art and Industry Academy. A.L. Stieglitz. His goal is to create a new generation of Russian artists. In this regard, Mikhail Shemyakin is developing a special training program for his students, which includes not only a standard list of subjects, but also a deep all-round acquaintance with the musical and literary world heritage, and most importantly, he teaches his students to look at the world with a special view of the “artist- metaphysics".
