The State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan in the halls of the National Art Gallery "Khazine" presents an exposition works by Nikolai Ivanovich Feshin (1881-1955).

The exhibits demonstrate that Nikolai Feshin is equally free in creating large-format multi-figure genre compositions and graceful miniatures, he has his own approach to landscape and still life, his technique in the nude genre is effective, but first of all Feshin is an outstanding portrait painter. At the center of Nikolai Feshin's creativity is a person, but in different genres the theme takes on different interpretations.

The National Art Gallery of the Pushkin Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan houses the largest collection of paintings by Nikolai Ivanovich Feshin (1881-1955) - a brilliant Russian-American artist, an unsurpassed master of coal drawing, a magnificent woodcarver, and a sculptor. Feshin's creative path fell on the first half of the 20th century. In the chaos of social and artistic revolutions, Nikolai Feshin never lost his own face. The artist brought impulses of various styles to the fundamental principles of academic and realistic art - from impressionism and modern to expressionism. Feshin's art is included in the line of development of the Art Nouveau style, which was represented by the work of V. Serov, F. Malyavin.
