Return to the estate

Exhibition September 23, 2020 − May 30, 2021
Museum and Exhibition Complex "New Jerusalem" holds a large-scale exhibition "Return to the estate".

The exhibition "Return to the Estate" for the first time on such a large scale demonstrates the various manor collections of the museum - painting, graphics, sculpture, arts and crafts, furniture, weapons, archival materials - only about 500 items from the museum's own collection and private collections.

The opening of the exhibition became one of the key events in the framework of the anniversary year of the New Jerusalem Museum, which will celebrate its centenary in 2020.

The exhibition brings together exhibits from the estates "Ilyinskoye" of the Romanov family, "Nikolskoye-Uryupino" of the Golitsyn princes, "Pokrovskoe" of the Sheremetevs, "Vvedenskoye" of the Lopukhins and others. Many things have never been presented to the public before. The organizers invite visitors to think about the surviving and destroyed, about the development and study of the estate heritage, about the role of museums in the preservation of the estate territories and that it is not too late to save.
