Exhibition November 5, 2020 − January 31, 2021

Tomsk Regional Art Museum (TOMH) holds an exhibition "Master and Margarita. Variations on a theme ".

The exposition presents more than 100 works performed in different genres and techniques: painting, graphics, sculpture, enamels, scenography. Spectators will be able to meet already familiar masters (S. Mosienko, L. Usov, E. Shadrina-Shestakova, M. Kazakovtsev, S. Menshikov, A. Shadrin, S. Rukavishnikov, etc.) and with artists who are presented in the halls of the TOKHM for the first time (A. Miroshnichenko, S. Strizhova and others). Also included in the exhibition are works by artists from the TOKhM collection (N. Beglyuk, V. Boldyrev, P. Gavrilenko).

It was the picturesque-graphic series “The Master and Margarita” by Vasily Fedorovich Boldyrev that served as the starting point for the creation of the project “MASTER AND MARGARITA. VARIATIONS ON THEME ". Since this series is not a literal illustration of the events of M. Bulgakov's novel, but presents a non-figurative sequence of images, characters, states, moods.
