Francesco Caraccio. Silent dance

Exhibition October 24, 2020 − February 28, 2021
Yaroslavl Art Museum invites you to visit the exhibition Francesco Caraccio. Silent dance ".

Visitors will see more than 30 works of the "ballet series" dedicated to what is happening outside the stage: rehearsals, minutes of rest, moments in which the artists are preparing to come out, thinking over performances. All plots are episodes from life. Francesco Caraccio spent a lot of time in rehearsal rooms, backstage in the best European theaters during performances.

Francesco Caraccio - contemporary Italian artist, apprentice Marc Chagall, a prominent representative of Expressionism. The dance theme is one of the brightest in the artist's work. The works presented at the exhibition are dedicated to her friend - the outstanding ballerina Carla Fracci, who danced with Rudolf Nureyev himself. It is impossible to recognize the artists in the paintings of Francesco Caraccio, although they are written from real people. This is the artist's task - to convey not so much reality as the emotional state of his characters - their “silent dance”.
