Art Nouveau. From Larsson to Zappa

Gothenburg Art Museum hosts an exhibitionArt Nouveau. From Larsson to Zappa ".

The exhibition brings together painting, sculpture, textiles, cinema, fashion and posters from the early 1900s to the present day, created by artists such as Alphonse Mucha, John Bauer, Gustav Fiestad, Tyra Klin, Karin and Karl Larsson, Anders Zorn, the Front design group and Fredrik Ruddum.

The exhibition shows how Art Nouveau influenced Swedish art, and also summarizes the advancement in time towards 1960s underground posters and contemporary art. From Larsson to Zappa, the influence of Art Nouveau on Swedish art at the turn of the 1900s is traced, as well as how the style has been used and refined up to the present day.
