ABC. Bilbao Museum Alphabet

Exhibition October 6 − December 30, 2020
Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts holds an exhibition"ABC. Bilbao Museum Alphabet ".

The large-scale exhibition is timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the founding of the Bilbao Museum of Fine Arts and introduces the museum's rich collection (European painting, graphics, sculpture and photography) and rare loans in the form of archaeological rarities dating back to 12000 BC.

The exhibition is distinguished by the original idea of placing the exhibits, ordered not by painting schools and authors, but on the basis of the literary novel by Kirmen Uribe, a museum connoisseur, Time to Wake Up Together. Some of the paintings presented at the exhibition are “heroes” of the writer's plot. In addition, visitors will see the most recognizable works and artists of the collection, including Lucas Cranach, José de Ribera, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, Francisco de Zurbaran, Martin de Vos, Orazio Gentileschi, Francisco de Goya, Paul Gauguin, Mary Cassat, Ignacio Zuloaginago Sorolla, Eduardo Chillida, Jorge Oteiza, Francis Bacon and Anthony Tapies.
