Still life: ordinary pleasures

Exhibition December 21, 2019 − November 27, 2022
Phoenix Art Museum hosts an exhibition"Still life: ordinary pleasures".

The exhibition presents picturesque canvases of one of the most fundamental genres performed by American, Latin American and European authors, incl. Elena Clement, Georgia O'Keeffe, Pablo Picasso, Odilon Redon, Helen Torr and others.

Poet Mark Doty noted that “in still lifes there is no end to our gaze, we look inward and inward .... while we can stand to watch, while we enjoy it. " For artists, still lifes are a convenient and free way to explore spatial relationships. For viewers, the chamber scale of paintings with fruits, flowers and inanimate objects is rewarded with the process of contemplation.
