The Whitney Museum of American Art hosts an exhibition
"David Hammons. End of the day".
The exhibition features works by fifteen artists who worked in downtown Manhattan during the 1970s and early 1980s.
The exhibit will feature a selection of works from the museum's collection that explore downtown New York as a place, history and memory. For the artists represented, the city is perceived as material, inspiration, ghost and provocation.
