Grenoble and the 19th century artists

The Grenoble Museum hosts an exhibition"Grenoble and the 19th century artists".

The extensive exhibition features more than 150 works by French painters and sculptors of the 19th century.

The exhibition allows you to explore the most important period in the development of the fine arts of Europe and the French "picturesque capital of the Alps". Portraits and self-portraits of painters of the century before last introduce viewers to long-gone masters, and city landscapes and genre scenes tell about the life of Grenoble and other regions of the French Alps. The exposition ends with magnificent mountain landscapes by French artists of the early 20th century.
