Sergey Vinogradov. Painted life

Exhibition September 10, 2020 − January 10, 2021
The Museum of Russian Impressionism is preparing a large exhibition“Sergey Vinogradov. Painted life ".

A large-scale personal exhibition of the master will bring together over 60 works from all over Russia. In addition, for the first time in a long time, viewers will be able to see works from the Baltic countries, where Sergei Vinogradov moved in 1924. The master's paintings will be complemented by his memories and previously unpublished photographs.

Sergei Vinogradov knew Igor Grabar and Sergei Diaghilev, fished with Fyodor Chaliapin, visited the Mamontov family on the Golovinka estate, played cards with Leo Tolstoy. The exhibition will include the works "At K. A. Korovin", "Plays. 1914 "," House in Yasnaya Polyana from the side of the terrace "as a reminder of the artist's close relationship with prominent representatives of Russian culture. Largely thanks to the taste, broad outlook and instinct of Sergei Vinogradov, paintings by outstanding foreign masters appeared in Russia: Paul Cézanne, Auguste Renoir, Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Vincent Van Gogh and others. It was he who carried away the collection of Mikhail and Ivan Morozov, and subsequently supervised their collections. Many of these works now adorn the displays of the central state museums.
