Art Institute of Chicago reopens exhibitionJust a Drawing: Seven Centuries of Art from the Gray Collection.

The exposition consists of over a hundred drawings by the great masters of Italy in the 15th-18th centuries, France in the 17th-20th centuries, Holland in the 17th century and America in the 20th-21st centuries.

Visitors will see among the authors of the works the unforgettable names of Rubens, Boucher, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Seurat, Van Gogh, Degas, Cezanne, Picasso, Matisse, Pollock, de Kooning and Hockney. Works by renowned Italian Renaissance painters such as Giorgio Vasari, Annibale Carracci and Lelio Orsi sit side by side with drawings by French artists Nicolas Poussin, François Lemoine or Charles Le Brun.
