George IV: Art and Spectacle

The Royal Collection of Great Britain at the Galleries of Buckingham Palace presents an exhibition"George IV: Art and Spectacle".

An extensive exposition includes masterpieces from the collection of King George IV: paintings, drawings, prints, miniatures, weapons, insignia and jewelry.

George IV (1762–1830) was passionate about art and architecture throughout his life and created one of the greatest collections of painting and decorative arts in Europe. The acquisitions of the King, employing the finest architects and carefully considering the placement of each masterpiece, remain some of the greatest pieces in the Royal Collection. His architectural vision has created palaces in London and Windsor that are accessible to our contemporaries.
