Landscapes. The sight of the painter

Exhibition July 17 − November 8, 2020
Kunsthaus Museum, Zurich holds an exhibition“Landscapes. The sight of the painter ".

The exhibition includes more than 50 magnificent panoramic landscapes by masters of Flanders, Holland and Italy from the 1500s - 1800s.

The exhibition is opened by canvases of the Late Middle Ages, on which the landscape serves as a backdrop for scenes of Holy Scripture. The following are landscapes of masters of the “golden age of Dutch painting” who abandoned religious motifs in landscape painting and who completely devoted their attention to the beauty of natural landscapes. The exposition is completed by the magnificent works of Italian painters.
