London gallery Sladmore holds a large exhibition“The Decade: Masterpieces of the Collection”.
The exhibition features more than 100 rare sculptures from the gallery's collection, acquired over the past ten years. Among the authors of the works are Auguste Rodin, Edgar Degas, Antoine Louis-Barrier, Joseph Bernard, Rembrandt Bugatti, Emil Antoine Burdell and others. One of the pearls of the collection is Edgar Degas's Horse in the Pasture (1881) and a fragment of the composition Calais Citizens by Auguste Rodin.
Each work is accompanied by a historical description of the creation, subjects and history of the acquisition. The sculptures contrast in authorship, plot and style, but are united by one unconditional criterion - the works of the most talented sculptors of the XIX-XX centuries do not get tired of surprising and inspiring the audience.
