Capitoline Museums of Rome present an exhibition
“The time of Caravaggio. Masterpieces from the Roberto Longa Collection ».
The exhibition presents unique masterpieces from the collection of the historian and collector Roberto Longa (1890-1970) painted by Caravaggio, Carlo Saraceni, Domenico Fetti, Bernardo Strozzi and many other representatives of the school of Florentine painting of the XVI-XVII centuries.
The exposition is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the death of a collector who devoted his life to studying the works of Caravaggio and gathered a magnificent collection of paintings by masters of all eras, the core of which was the work of the great baroque master and his followers.
