Albertina Gallery in the halls of "Albertina Modern" resumes a large-scale exhibition"Start. Art in Austria from 1945 to 1980 ”.

The visitors are acquainted with their paintings, graphic and photo works by artists: Robert Klemer, Arnulf Rainer, August Walla, Birgit Jurgensen, Christian Ludwig Attersee, Florentina Pakosta, Franz Ringel, Franz Zadrazil, Gottfried Helnwein, Hans Staudacher, German Nagnich, Maria Marcus Prachensky, Max Wyler, Peter Pongratz, Reimo Vukunig and many others.

Contemporary art is often forced to flirt with the taste preferences of people, because it depends on the preference of the "broad masses." Therefore, the exhibition combines “high” and “low” art, and is represented by a wide range of styles, genres and techniques: from European pop art and kitsch to samples of panel and avant-garde painting.
