Raphael (1483-1520) - one of the most outstanding artists of the Renaissance. With his paintings and frescoes, Rafael set the standards of European art not only for his time, but also for centuries. No other artist has achieved such far-reaching effectiveness.
On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of his death, Kunsthalle uses numerous items from his own collection to honor the memory, work and influence of this charming master. The focus is on ten exquisite drawings by Raphael and his circle.Exhibitionalso shows the power and diversity of the media through which his images of inventions through drawings, prints and photographs were distributed around the world.
