Sin

Exhibition April 15 − July 5, 2020
Sin has pervaded life from the earliest days. But so far the story of his relationship to art has never been told.

Combining works of art that span centuries - from Brueghel and Velazquez to Andy Warhol and Tracy Emin - this exhibition explores the concept of sin in art.

Widely defined as a regrettable mistake, insult or omission, sin is something that everyone can touch. In Christianity, this is considered a crime against divine law, and many of the world's major religions have similar concepts.

In thisexhibitioncomplex theological ideas and descriptions of “sinful” everyday behavior that blur the boundaries between religious and secular art are examined.
