Alexander Onishchenko. The mystery of the black canvas

The Museum of the History of Kiev presents an exhibition of paintings by Alexander Onishchenko "The mystery of the black canvas". The author uses imprimatur (color tinting of the surface of the finished white soil), writes on an painted canvas - exclusively black. This style emphasizes details and a special atmosphere in the works of the master. The artist works with a palette knife, which makes his work embossed, expressive and vibrant. The works of the author belong to the style of the avant-garde and neo-impressionism.

Alexander Onishchenko is an artist from Ukraine, born in Chernigov. He has been living and working in Prague for more than 25 years. He took an active part in exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Spain, UK, USA, etc. He opened his gallery Jakubska in Prague, where you can see his new paintings. The founder of the "Private International Art School of Black Canvas". He invented his famous painting technique on a black background in 1986 in Bulgaria.
