Cullen Washington Jr .: Public Square

Exhibition January 25 − May 17, 2020
Exhibition "Public square"- An extensive look at the work and problems of aspiring contemporary artist Cullen Washington, Jr.

Compositions explore the ancient Greek public space as a place for active gatherings and the heart of the city's artistic, spiritual and political life. The installation is designed with an actual public square in its center, complete with sound components featuring a noticeable political and aesthetic discourse, surrounded by Washington's high monumental collages.

The artist’s works from the four early series form the perimeter of the museum’s largest special exhibition space.
