Famous for his cycles of narrative and religious paintings, Vittore Carpaccio (1460/66 - 1525/26) represents the grandeur and splendor of Venice, transferring sacred stories to everyday life, in scenes rich in details, combining the observation of city life with poetic and fantastic.
Exhibitionbuilt in collaboration with the National Gallery in Washington and will track, both thematically and chronologically, the development of the artist’s paintings from an updated point of view, through religious cycles and genre paintings, as well as the essential basis of drawings, revealing his hot imagination, his rigor technology and his interest in nature.
