Michelangelo Caravaggio

In Osaka, Abeno Harukas Art Museum hosts an exhibitionCaravaggio. The exhibition presents about 40 works, as well as the work of his contemporaries.

The exhibition is part of the Vatican and 100 Years of Japan project promoted by the Kadokawa Culture Promotion Foundation.

Michelangelo Caravaggio (1571–1610) was one of the most influential figures in the history of European art. Working in Italy between 1592 and 1610, he revolutionized painting and laid the foundation for 17th-century Baroque painting.
