Exhibition November 14, 2019 − January 31, 2020
Irkutsk Regional Art Museum. V.P. Sukacheva in the Gallery of Siberian Art holdsan exhibition of the recognized classic of Soviet and Russian art Igor Pavlovich Obrosov(1930–2010).

The exposition contains about 50 paintings and graphic works: portraits of cultural figures, still lifes, rural landscapes, lyrical city landscapes of Moscow.

The paintings of Igor Obrosov reflected the most tragic pages of the history of the twentieth century, and the most romantic - landscapes of Moscow, historical monuments, squares and parks, bridges, old mansions. The painter captured the history of his contemporaries in portraits of the famous sixties with whom he was friendly. The exhibition presents images of the artist Tair Salakhov, poetess Bella Akhmadulina, actress Natalya Belokhvostikova, actor Mikhail Ulyanov and others. Also reflected were two more important topics for the artist, which became fundamental in his work: the Russian village and the connection of generations. Igor Obrosov’s creative manner developed at the intersection of graphics and painting - the sharpness of lines, laconicism, expressiveness and monumental interpretation of forms. Many of the master’s works are presented in leading Russian and foreign museums, and his students have become a large number of bright contemporary artists.
