Akim Levich. Addressing everyone

Kiev auction house "Dukat" presents an exhibition of works by Akim Levich "Addressing everyone". The exhibition includes graphics and paintings from the family meeting and private collections. The author’s works reflect urban plots that tell about ordinary citizens and their daily lives. The artist used imaginative and artistic means, which were not typical of the Soviet period aesthetics, which went into the category of unofficial art.

Akim (Yakim) Levich (1933-2019) - Soviet and Ukrainian artist. Member of the Union of Artists since 1967. He graduated from the painting department of the Kiev State Art Institute. He worked as a graphic artist and illustrator of children's literature in the Veselka publishing house, and since 1974, he was the chief art editor of Malyatko magazine. His works are in the National Art Museum in Kiev, Sumy Art Museum, Museum of the History of Kiev, Zimmerli Art Museum in New Jersey, USA.
