Plesk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve invites you to a personal exhibition of art critic, art critic, photographer Ivan Borisovich Porto (1939 - 2009)"Shape and color".
Visitors can see 48 copyright works by I. B. Porto, presented for exhibiting by his wife, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Art Criticism, Professor Victoria Markova from the personal archive.
Being a fine connoisseur of art, Ivan Borisovich Porto deeply knew the traditions of Russian landscape painting, especially the works of classics and innovators of this genre. The works of this photographer are comparable to paintings and graphic works, the task of embodying the artistic principle is so sharply posed in them. The clear graphic architectonics of various objects was masterfully noticed, the image brought to a refined aesthetic completeness. Architecture is Ivan Borisovich's special passion, and its rhythms fascinate the author like musical chords. Personal exhibitions of I. B. Porto took place in many countries, the master’s works are in private and museum collections in Russia and abroad.
