John James Audubon. Viviparous quadrupeds

American artist and naturalist John James Audubon became world famous in the 1840s thanks to his massive folio prints of The Birds of North America.

He later collaborated with his son John Woodhouse Audubon and Dr. John Bachmann of Charleston to document four-legged animals in North America.

At this exhibition, 18 original wide-format engravings from Audubon from the series are presented.Viviparous quadrupedsdonated to the museum several years ago from a private collection.
