Exhibition project launched at the Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery MVK RAX"Picturesque Russia".

The exhibition includes works by Zurab Tsereteli, Sergey and Alexei Tkachev, Tair Salakhov, Geliy Korzhev, Viktor Ivanov, Andrei Mylnikov, Mikhail Abakumov, as well as Anatoly Lyubavin, Viktor Kalinin, Nikolai Kolupaev, Gennady Serov, Natalia Testina, Vladimir Nasedkin and other artists unique recognizable copyright style.

Continuing the tradition of traveling exhibitions in the 21st century, “Picturesque Russia” from the end of August to the end of December 2019 will be held in four cities of the country: Moscow (MVK PAX Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery), Stavropol (Stavropol Regional Museum of Fine Arts), Kirov (Vyatka Art Museum named after V.M. and A.M. Vasnetsov), Saransk (Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts named after S.D. Erzi). It was there, in museum exhibition spaces, that the viewer would have the opportunity to see the development and inner drama of the schools and directions of Russian painting, as well as get acquainted with the innovative look of young authors who continue the tradition. The project “Picturesque Russia” this year explores the most striking plastic trends, phenomena and schools, such as the “severe style”, the Leningrad school of painting, abstraction, the unique formation of the “Little Georgian”, the traditions of the “big picture”, the open air and other phenomena.
