Step from the East
Exhibition August 8 − September 8, 2019
In the museum-estate of V.P. Sukachev will host a personal exhibition of the artist Alexander Gunsenov "Step from the East".
The exposition presents more than 60 works by the author, filled with a Buddhist attitude, a special national color, based on knowledge of color symbols, traditions of mural painting, and motifs of folk Buryat art.
"Step from the East" is a synthesis of the traditions of the national Buryat art and the Russian school of painting, rooted in the Far East. The works of Alexander Gunsenov are in the collections of museums in Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Vladivostok, in private collections in China, Japan, South Korea, Holland, and the USA.
