Solomon Boim. Watercolor. To the 120th anniversary of the artist

The Kaliningrad Regional Museum of History and Art presents an exhibition for the first time.“Solomon Boim. Watercolor. To the 120th anniversary of the artist " from the cycle "Forgotten Names". This is a joint project of the Historical and Art Museum with the Museum of Russian Painting and Applied Art and the Russian Art Center of Kaliningrad.

The exhibition features unique watercolors with views of Moscow and Leningrad, portraits of Soviet people, their “holidays and weekdays”, and, of course, the familiar landscapes of the Baltic. Most of the watercolors presented were purchased in the USA from a Russian-American collector and returned to Russia by the philanthropist Rustam Aliyev.

Solomon Samsonovich Boim (1899-1978) - an outstanding Russian artist, graphic artist, aquarellist, illustrator, teacher, professor of painting at the Moscow Art School. During the Great Patriotic War he was the chief artist of the Political Administration of the Baltic Fleet.
