St. Petersburg State Museum of Theatrical and Musical Art presents an exhibition "Counterpoint. Theater sketches by Alexander Orlov and Irina Cherednikova".
This exhibition can be called personal. Leading Russian theater artists work together, surprisingly complementing each other perfectly: this is how the voices in the musical counterpoint interact. Alexander Orlov creates laconic scenography, striving for graphic sharpness, and Irina Cherednikova inhabits it with characters in detailed, bright costumes.
Alexander Orlov and Irina Cherednikova are graduates of the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (1974), now leading stage designers of Russia, laureates of numerous awards, titles and awards.
The exhibition in the Theater Museum - the work of artists in the musical theater, created over the past twenty years. The exhibition features exhibits from the Mariinsky Theater Museum. Many works from the personal collection of artists will be presented to the public for the first time.
