Carmen Hoyos: The Way

Carmen Hoyos, an artist, sculptor, land-art and installation artist, was born in Bogota, Colombia, and lived, worked and exhibited in Paris, Madrid and Brussels during her creative life. She now lives in Fresno, founding her home and studio here.
Hojos plastic work environment: hard (plexiglass) or malleable (cellophane), from which it cuts, folds, paints, puts, wraps or hangs. Her exhibitions can be short-term installations, limited to a gallery or the environment.
"For me it’s important that my installations are imprinted in my memory and feed our imagination in order to become the ground for future actions. Nature feeds my work," says the artist.
