In the popular concept, samurai are often depicted as those who have military might, while their participation in cultural events is not so well represented.
Exhibition "Gentleman Warrior: Samurai Art"offers a multi-faceted view of the culture of the samurai. More than 20 works from the museum collection and two sets of leased samurai armor will demonstrate the important role that the samurai played in the tea ceremony, theater and Buddhist practices, as well as in the art of armor and battle.
