Exhibition"Fra Angelico and the rise of the Florentine Renaissance" in the Prado Museum explores the origins of the Florentine Renaissance in the 1420s - 1430s with a focus on the figure of the monk Fra Angelico. He was one of the great masters of painting of that time, he is on a par with such artists who gave impetus to the development of the Renaissance, as Masacho, Masolino, Uccello and Filippo Lippi, sculptors Ghiberti, Donatello and Nanni di Banco, as well as the architect Brunelleschi.
