Abel Pann. Lithographs

In the halls of the "Cultural Project" an exhibition of an outstanding artist Abel Panna. The exhibition includes lithographs from the series “The Bible in Pictures”, which the author created throughout his life.

Abel Pann (1883-1963) is a Jewish artist who spent a large part of his life in Jerusalem. Born in Latvia, he studied painting in Odessa, moved to Paris in 1904 and continued his studies at the Academy de la Grand Chomieres. The artist traveled a lot, his life flowed between Russia, Poland, Paris, Egypt and Israel. Abel Pann is considered one of the founders of Israeli painting. Exhibited in Paris with Renoir and Matisse. He was awarded art awards and medals.
