The Museum of Contemporary Art PSA in Shanghai presents a solo exhibition by a Hong Kong artist Luis chan. The exhibition includes more than 100 works, which range from surrealistic Chinese ink landscapes, fantastic oil portraits, to graphic collages in the style of Matisse and bold abstract experiments resembling painting in the style of "action." Louis Chan (1905–1995) began as a realist artist in the English style, depicting everyday scenes around Hong Kong with such enthusiasm and skill that he became known as the “King of Watercolor” and was considered one of the “Three Masters” of Hong Kong.
