The Gogol House Memorial Museum on Nikitsky Boulevard presents an exhibition of the famous Russian artist and illustrator Alexander Mukhin-Cheboksarsky "On the subject of happiness".

The exhibition presents landscapes, still lifes, illustrations of works of fiction, portrait and genre works.

Viewers will be able to see a series of portrait miniatures for which the artist gained the fame of Lefty. In 2007, the work of the author won the exhibition contest miniature watercolor.

Any exhibition of the master always attracts the lively attention of the general public and the professional community: artists, art historians.

His works are notable for their lightness, brevity, compositional harmony and powerful energy.

In genre paintings there are often elements of eccentrics, philosophies and folklore motifs.

At the same time, the author’s tender and colorful works will give the audience a lot of positive emotions and serene contemplative pleasure.
