In the State Central Theatrical Museum named after A.A. Bakhrushina holds a personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation Yury Nikolaevich Kononenko (1938 - 1995) "On the hanger the wings do not knead", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the author.
The exhibition presents the entire body of the author's works, revealing the artist as a painter, graphic artist, ceramist, set designer, poet and author of his own genre of slide films.
The exposition is designed to uncover the hypnotizing beauty of the work of this fine and truthful author as fully as possible.
The artist himself formulated his creative paradigm like this: “It does not happen that I woke up once and began to draw. Until this work and days. He made tons of paper, aniline paints diluted in half-liter jars, made thousands of linear drawings. All waited, when the plane of the horizontal sheet would become like the smooth surface of a calm lake, sandwiched by mountains. I iron the cardboard, scrape it, scratch it, I say to myself: “Kind, Yuri, be kind!”. There is no background - I’ll paint it, shuffle, scratch it, and the cardboard comes to life. ”
