Frida Kahlo. The influence of Mexican folk art

Exhibition February 27 − June 16, 2019
Like many artists of Mexico, Frida Calo eagerly studied traditional Mexican folk art. She drew inspiration from these subjects, realizing their political significance after the Mexican Revolution and including their visual and material qualities in their now-iconic paintings.

ATexposure attention is focused on exploring her passion for items such as decorated ceramics, embroidered fabrics, children's toys and religious paintings. All these "little things" formed Kalo as a person and artist.
