Xie Qi. Clavicle

Exhibition January 11 − March 9, 2019
BANK Gallery presents a solo exhibition by Beijing artist Xie Qi "Clavicle". The exhibition consists of a series of recent oil paintings by the author, made in the corporate style, which combines transcendental humanistic principles and modern spirit.

In his works, Xie Qi drew attention to the fine structure of the human figure in various natural postures and countless emotional states of people. The clavicle, one of the most visible and most fragile bones, became the main theme. For the artist, this is the line separating the portrait and the figure.

Xie Qi (1974, Chongqing) works and lives in Beijing. The master's works are in the collection of the Uli Sigg Contemporary Art Foundation, the Museum of Hong Kong, as well as in private collections.
