Victor Zhmak. Croatian motifs

Exhibition 15 − November 29, 2018
The Museum of Ideas presents the exhibition of Victor Zhmak "Croatian motives". The exhibition consists of a series of paintings created by the artist in the open air over the past few years. In his works, the artist, fascinated by the beauty of this picturesque region, acts as a colorist and a kind of "generator" of ideas. His works are marked by a special mood and atmosphere with a minimum arsenal of artistic means - this is the virtuosity of the use of a palette knife and unique coloring.

Victor Zhmak was born in 1954 in the Zhytomyr region. He graduated from the Lviv Polytechnic University as an architect, after which he was sent to work in Russia. He returned to Lviv in 2004, where he continued to work in his specialty until 2013. In parallel, the fascination with painting made it possible for creative self-realization. Took part in solo and collective exhibitions.
