For samovar

Painting, 2011, 90×75 cm

Description of the artwork «For samovar»

A golden samovar rules over tea drinking - as if the sun was visiting the room. He stands on a painted tablecloth, which has been turned into a precious pattern by a brush.
And what kind of dress the girl has - such were worn in fabulous times. Its bright floral design protects the hostess from evil spirits.
The awkward young man in blue trousers clearly pleases the beauty - she likes to watch him, asking unexpected questions.
And it seems that this scene was written by a child or a peasant who paints stoves in houses - his hand is too kind and naive.
