Description of the artwork «The Lark's Wing, Encircled with Golden Blue, Rejoins the Heart of the Poppy Sleeping on a Diamond-Studded Meadow»
“Lark Wings ...” is one of those huge canvases that Miro began to write in the 1960s, experimenting with pure-color fields. Inspired by the work of abstract expressionists in America, he takes on canvas in the size of two, three meters. But, as has always been the case, he is looking for his own pictorial language. At this time, Miro said: "If I continue to work, I will do it for the young, not for the elderly. I work for the man of the future, for the man of 2000."
