Biography and information

Gao Cahun is one of those rare people who separated from the vulgar world, and carefully nurtured his talent. He lived a very modest life in Hangzhou. In free days he came to reed the bench, on the Bank of Qiantang river, with a Cup of wine and a book of poems. Here for a long time he sat contemplating the mountains, enjoying the beauty of their inaccessible peaks and cloud movement. In the interval between their bureaucratic Affairs and writing poetry, he wrote the scrolls, giving the incarnation that demanded their expression.
