Biography and information

The pupil of the Flemish painter Vleughels who committed the journey to Rome.

On his return to Paris in 1733, was admitted as a member of the Academy of arts, in 1743 received her professorship, from 1765 was its rector, and finally from 1781 — Chancellor. In addition, he was the caretaker of the Versailles art gallery.
