"Sweat"mkin"", Cisco (1938) in Sverdlovsk t-re of Opera and ballet, "Prince

Igor" (1944), "Carmen" (1945), "the Devil and Kacha" Dvorak (1955), "the gadfly"

Spadavecchia (1957), "Ruslan and Lyudmila" (1958); "the Red flower" Glier

(1959) to Perm t re of Opera and ballet.

(24.07.1895, Tula – 1959, Perm(?)). A theater artist and painter. Graduated from School of painting, sculpture and architecture (Moscow) in the class K. Korovin (1917), received the title of free artist. Studied advanced Higher building and architectural Institute (VASI), from which he graduated in 1936 with a degree of engineer of civil constructions. Upon termination of Institute worked as the Deputy chief architect of the Acad. A. Shchusev for the construction of the hotel "Moscow". From 1918 he worked as an artist in several academic theatres of Moscow, including in Malahovka summer theater "the Little Studio" to them. F. I. Shalyapin (1918-1919), the Second Studio of the Moscow Art theater, the Second Moscow art theatre and the Studio theatre of R. Simonov (1919-1924), they were made of performances in the Bolshoi theatre, the Maly theatre (Leningrad), the Park of the first President. S. M. Kirov (Leningrad), Kiev TOB (1930s), in the Sverdlovsk TOBE (1935 to 1943). In this period they were issued more than 100 Opera and drama performances. The performance "Eugene Onegin" by P. I. Tchaikovsky at the Opera Studio of K. S. Stanislavsky staged by K. S. Stanislavsky and B. in the scenery Matronina became a legend of the Soviet musical theatre. Matrenin designed productions from 1944 to 1946, and from March 1955 to the last days of his life he worked as a chief artist, has collaborated with Directors V. Lossky, N. Dombrovsky, I. Keller. During this period, he furnished all the leading performances of the repertoire, including such significant works as the Opera "Prince Igor", "Aida", "Sevastopol", "Ivan Susanin", "Masquerade", "the gadfly"; the ballets "Swan lake", "Bela", "La Bayadere". Among the awards Matronina - gold medal the Paris world exhibition of 1937 for the layout for the play "Soldiers," based on the play of B. S. Romashov, directed by K. P. Khokhlov, and L. M. prozorovskii (1936, Maly theatre, Moscow), Stalin prize 1946 for the play "Sevastopol", music by M. Koval (Perm, TOBE). At the all-Union festival of dramatic and musical theaters, ensembles and choirs, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the October revolution, for creative achievement in artistic design plays on the stage of Perm Opera and ballet "gadfly" by A. Spadavecchia and "Masquerade" by D. Tolstoy (Director I. Keller), the artist was awarded the first degree Diploma and title of Laureate of the festival (1957). In connection with the 40th anniversary of the great October socialist revolution, for the excellent creative work B. A. Matrenin was awarded the Honorary diploma of the Ministry of culture of the RSFSR and the Central Committee of trade Union of workers of culture, was also awarded the medal "For valiant labor in the great Patriotic war 1941 - 1945". High evaluation of theatrical works by the artist gave the Central and local press, his works are in the Museum of Perm, the Park of the first President. P. I. Tchaikovsky.
