Vasilyevich Shabalin

Russia • 1901−1980

Born in Kukarka Sloboda Vyatka province (now Sovetsk).

He began his studies at the Perm art Studio, was mobilized into the Red army.

Having fought the Urals and Siberia in the ranks of the red Army, in March 1920, Shabalin was in Irkutsk, where he was able to resume training in the art Studio in the political Department of the 5th Army, led by artist S. D. Biocom.

In 1922, the creative activity is interrupted in connection with the participation of Shabalin in the campaign in the steppes of Mongolia and the elimination of the troops of Baron Ungern.

From 1923 Shabalin began training at the Irkutsk art Studio-workshop, which was headed by I. L. Kopylov and also worked as a teacher of drawing in innokentyevskiy school.

In 1930 Shabalin some time engaged in the workshop of K. S. Petrov-Vodkin.

In 1937, Shabalin went on the courses of artists-teachers in Leningrad and studied at the Academy of arts under famous teachers-Professor S. A. Abugov, S. P. Naumov, N.. Pavlova. In the same year, Shabalin admitted to the Union of artists. Died in Irkutsk.

Born in Sloboda Vyatka province Cukurca. (now Sovetsk). He studied at Perm art Studio, 1920 - the red Studio at 5th Army at S. D. Bigos, from 1923 to 1928 - at the art Studio, the Studio of I. L. Kopylov, in 1930 - in the workshop of K. S. Petrov-Vodkin. In 1937, studied at the Russian AH S. A. Abugov, S. P. Naumov, N..Pavlova. From 1931 to 1940 he taught at the Irkutsk isopentane. (reorganized later in art school). Among his students - N. L.Babesuk, K. A. Tutevol, A. V. Mangles, V. Teterkin, F. K. Danilova, S. A. Taranushenko. In 1933 - delegate 1st conference Vskrysha, its Secretary-General. For over 30 years worked with Irkutsk publishing house. He has government awards.
