A graduate of the Academy of Arts in 1791 (dependent Betskoy); received 2 and 1 silver medals; in 1794 - 1 gold medal in the task "to Represent Alexander the Great, when he is inferior to the painter Apelles his mistress Kompasu"; in 1794 was released by the artist with a certificate of 1 degree.
