Participation in the revolutionary and educational activities (including cooperation in progressive Georgian magazines and Newspapers 1880-90s) has defined democratic orientation of the creativity of T. T. Among the works of the 1890s — 1910s is dominated by bright, distinguishing scenes from folk life ("Mtskhetoba", 1899-1901, the art Museum of the Georgian SSR, Tbilisi), full of subtle intimate portraits (portrait of an old Jew, see Fig.; portrait of a mother, 1904-05). In 1920-40-s. T reflected in his works of socialist construction, the new life of Georgian people, the events of the great Patriotic war of 1941-45 ("Happy life", 1934, "Letter from the front," 1942, "Song of victory", 1948, all the same). Awarded the order of Lenin, the order "badge of Honor" and medals.
