Born in the city of Tobolsk. Russian painter and graphic artist. He studied at the school of S. Korovin, V. Baksheev, S. Ivanov (1898 - 1904), then at St. Petersburg Academy of arts (until 1913 1 November 1913 - the title of the artist for the painting "the feast in the village") and battle in the Studio of F. Rubo, N. Samokish. Began exhibiting his works from 1909. Participated in exhibitions and was a member of the Association "Union of youth", "World of art", "Moscow painters", "Four arts", "New society of artists", MTLI, TPHV. Taught drawing in the higher art (1924 - 1929), the Leningrad Academy of arts (1933 - 1935), in MGHI them. V. Surikov (1935 - 1941). Created many landscapes and everyday sketches. Works of the artist are in the Tretyakov gallery, in many museums and private collections.
